The following post is a paid review of Text-Link-Ads.com.
This first review I gave of Text Link Ads was back in June of 2005, and since that point in time my relationship with them has grown deeper and stronger. I am customer, client, and affiliate of theirs. If they weren’t offering good service I don’t think I’d still be with them a year and half later.
One of the things I really like about the company is the level service they provide. For example if you want to learn about text link advertising and how to get the most out of it, check out the link buying starter kit. Need more help you can have someone on their staff tailor a package specifically for you. If you’ve never actually bought links before I’d take advantage of the helping hand.
More experienced optimizers who are comfortable choosing their own links can select from a wide variety of inventory, and create a packages based on their own individual criteria. If you happen to be in an industry where conventional link building is difficult, they have a wide range of topics so you can find something with some synergy. They have categories like, cars, business, celebrities, electronics, food, music, real estate, sports, travel and many more. Browsing through the categories is painless and you can sort based on alexa ranking, price (both up and down), pages indexed, and most unsold ads.
So what are some tips for buying links, first of all choose relevant on topic websites. For example even though you are selling shoes, and everyone needs and wears shoes, don’t buy an advertisement on a digital camera website just because it has a low alexa ranking (low is good). Instead choose a fashion, clothing, or shopping site. Secondly don’t buy just one link. Don’t expect one link to do everything for you, start with a handful and go from there. Buy links for a medium length of time, at least 6 months. Do a check up half of the way through and make sure things are moving in the right direction. Don’t buy for soley link popularity, instead buy for traffic. While Alexa is only one metric, anything below 10,000, the site will have real traffic. If you aren’t getting any direct ROI from that traffic, re-evaluate what and why you are buying those advertisements.
Here’s my super secret tip, get ahead of the curve and start buying feedvertising. Feedvertising is a new program that allows you place an advertisement in the bottom of a site’s RSS feed. Not many people are taking advantage of it right now, and there are some really good spots available.
Lastly afraid to take the plunge, try their new customer promotion gives you $100 in Free Links. You just can’t go wrong with free.
